I think Billboard is talking shit, there is no way of knowing that MMLP2 is doing less in the second week then those sales of ARTPOP.

srysl if he doesn't block her ....

and to think that both of them are on Interscope, lol TOO funny.

So.. Lady Gaga's album was released 3 days ago, and Eminem is still number one in the biggest markets except Japan.

#1 United States
#1 United Kingdom
#1 Australia
#1 France
#1 Germany
#1 New Zealand

That's crazy. Even though he'll walk in the charts and burst in a ball of flames

i think Em will do 200-250k
albums are having huge 2nd week drops this year

I'm almost 100% certain Em won't have a larger drop than usual. What most artists have going for them is the bandwagon effect leading to high first week sales but also large drops the 2nd week. When JT's album came out the hype was through the roof but quickly died out. Eminem however is a legend and has solidified his popularity a long time ago. There's no Eminem bandwagon anymore, his popularity is stable and he has a large target demographic. That means his first week sales won't vary much from album to album regardless of hype or no hype. It also means that his 2nd/3rd/etc week sales are always proportional to the first week.

Of course it's always possible some anomaly occurs but... I just don't see anything under 300k happening. Relapse was the only album where Em lacked both a hit and controversy yet still sold 211k 2nd week. The argument that the market has changed doesn't hold up either because it has changed continuously for the past 15 years yet Em's sales trends never did.

Second week drops are relatively huge this year, so...if he would sell 218k he would pass 1 million mark, which is great. Besides, that Billboard article claims that she will be the no.1...I don't know what else to say...but somehow I do think Em could sell near 300k......

Eminem is the first artist in Nielsen/SoundScan history (which dates to 1991) to top the 700K plateau in weekly sales with five different albums. Runners-up are Garth Brooks and Timberlake, who have each done it three times (giving Timberlake credit for two *NSYNC albums.)

The Marshall Mathers LP 2 is Eminem's seventh #1 album on The Billboard 200, a total matched or surpassed by only one rap artist—Jay Z, who has had 13. All of Eminem's #1 albums have come since January 2000. Only two other artists from any genre have had seven or more #1 albums in this century. Jay Z leads with 11. Kenny Chesney has also had seven.

The Marshall Mathers LP 2 has already spawned three top 10 hits on the Hot 100: "Berzerk," "Rap God" and "The Monster" (featuring Rihanna). It's Eminem's first studio album to contain more than two top 10 hits.

In addition, Eminem this week becomes the first artist to sell 40 million albums in the U.S. since January 2000. Eminem has sold 43,322,000 albums in his career. (That tally includes The Slim Shady LP, which sold 2,824,000 copies in 1999.) Eminem is the seventh best-selling album artist since 1991, when Nielsen SoundScan began tracking music sales. He's the #1 hip-hop artist and the #3 male solo artist, behind only country titans Garth Brooks and George Strait.

How much did recovery do its second week. If i had to make a guess it will do the same amount or slightly more like mmlp2 did first week.

edit:

313,000 copies 2nd week for reovery

so im guessing at least 300,000

Her album is estimated 260,000 copies...

so mmlp2 could have a 2nd week at number one are 2nd week sales really that bad since 2010 cant eminem do 300,000 and beat gaga or no
