GKMC without a doubt, section .80 was good but nowhere near as good as GKMC. I liked the conceptual aspect and I thought kendrick took his game to a whole new level on that album, every song was different yet all completed the big picture and feelings he was trying to portray which he did a fantastic job at.

Section 80 for me, no doubt. I guess i had the sophomore fatigue syndrome (tm lol) when i listened to gkmc for the first time because i had been listening to Section 80 for so long.... But i was actually initially disappointed in gkmc. I found it slow.

After a while, i have begun to appreciate it more and more. But the reason it is Section 80 for me is because that album is raw. It feels less connected, more random. Hella it has Rigarmoutis dead and centre which may throw you off guard. But i like that sort of rawness, unpolished feel it poses because it just makes it more humane to me. More relatable.

Plus, as already said, Spiteful Chant is just an undeniable banger. The video just makes that shit.... Crazy man. Also, Hiipower is top 5 Kendrick track of all time. Classic

I enjoyed S80 more even though GKMC is the more ambitious project, I just feel like it gets too wound up in trying to keep true to it's concept that it feels "musically" limited, whereas like the op says I could just jam S80 whenever it's just so much more sonically diverse (Blow my high sounds like nothin else on the album and almost has a southern feel to it)and topically diverse (though that's cause it's not limited by it's concept and has more freedom in that aspect). GKMC is prty much illmatic syndrome (albeit not as gud) where I have to listen to the whole album front to back to rly enjoy it but unlike illmatic there's skippable songsm and rly Compton was such a lazy sounding song that was prty much just kendrick reaffriming I did a song with Dre nigga, that's some The Game shit.
