He should've just signed a deal....

Any aspiring rapper would love to be in a situation in which labels are knocking on their door.... even if it means compromising a bit.

A good example would be Wrekonize and Mayday.... they had an entirely different sound before signing with Strange.... they compromised a little bit by making a few songs that cater more to the Strange Music audience, but a majority of their songs were still true to their own sound.... and they are still making dope records and releasing music on a national scale.... that's fucking great.

I admire Elzhi's integrity.... but it just seems a bit bone headed if you ask me.

It is interesting to see an artist trying to use kickstarter to fund a project though. 25,000 may have been a little ambitious, however.

It's a shame Elzhi is talented af, and think he's progressively getting better. He was a better on elmatic than The Preface.

It's honestly hard and unfiar to compare them since it's obviously a tribute to NY State of mind with the latter feeling a little bit dated (with it's wordplay and references) even though that's part of NY state of Mind's charm, though sleep is the cousin of death line is goatly.

Nah man One Love is a masterpiece imo. The way he flipped it to be about his girl was dope, and that instrumental breakdown at the end was fucking beautiful. That little part captures so much emotion
