I'm baffled at the fact none of you have noticed this article is to poke fun at the absurd notion that Lil Wayne > Eminem.
"There's no reason he should still be relevant, but he is. All Marshall Mathers had to do in order to stick out was show up; Weezy had to work for his -- and that's real hip-hop."
The author, Brain Penny, KNOWS that this is the exact opposite of what happened. Eminem was the one who had to work while all Wayne had to do was "show up".
"Em is incapable of expressing compassion without betraying his image. Weezy can release an entire album of love songs; Shady can't."
When he EASILY can, and the author KNOWS this.
He's poking fun, c'mon people.

Tragic portrait of an artist tortured
Trapped in his own drawings
But in my head there’s a voice in the back and it hollas
After the track is demolished
I am your lack of a conscience
I’m your time that’s almost up that you haven’t acknowledged
Grab for some water but I’m that pill that’s too jagged to swallow
