Legacy vs. Brainless

From a "vibe" and "emotional" standpoint, Legacy wins. From the "technical" and "fun" song, Brainless wins. Don't know if that made sense but that's how I feel.

Legacy hook is so awful. The hook brings that song down for me. Brainless gets the vote.

I actually like the hook on Legacy. I usually don't like female hooks that much, but I thought Polina did a good job with it.
And the little bridge after the first verse "And if you fall, I'll get you there, I’ll be your savior from all the wars that are fought inside your world.." was really touching to me.

That bridge Is money, I agree. Its Just the whole legacy part seemed kind of flat for me.

Brainless hook tho...sounds like some time warp back to his prime.

I love all these vs. legacy threads. just shows how much of a classic it is and people know it already. mosh isn't better. brainless isn't better. I don't think anything he's made since 2003 holds a candle to this song. it's his swan song. the rhymescheme, the voice fx, it's fucking perfect. brainless is great. don't get me wrong it's probably the closest he's come since the eminem show to recapturing the magic of the sslp. but legacy is something completely different

"Brainless" is not the best song on the album That isn't even a subjective statement, as good as "Brainless" is, it's nothing 'new'. Songs like "Bad Guy", "Rhyme Or Reason". "So Far..." and "Headlights" are 'better' because they're new territories for Em.

I think So Far... is a pretty bad song. While those songs do have different sounds compared to what we're used to hearing from Eminem, that doesn't always equate into quality. It's the same way that most people say "Well, Yeezus might have been a unique step for Kanye, but I didn't enjoy the music. So that doesn't mean much to me". Brainless is easily the best beat, I'd say. And it's also one of the few songs I think he sounds comfortable on.. because it isn't a "new" sound.

I love Relapse, so I love when Eminem takes new steps. I just didn't particularly enjoy where he creatively went with some of the sounds on MMLP2. Bad Guy, Brainless, Headlights, Evil Twin are on another level compared to the rest of the songs for me.

But as pointed out earlier, opinions.
