How can the "GOAT" Always come in "2nd??"

TBA is one of my favourite hip-hop albums. And yeah he's not the best lyricst, he's not the best performer, he's not universally recognised as a GOAT but for some reason i just enjoy listening to him on a track. Fuck, he hardly has any charisma to compensate for the lack of other things like Kanye. I dunno. Reading what you said I'm like, wtf why am I a Hov fan? Then i listen to 'Can I live' then I'm like, this is why.

I've got one instance where Jay killed someone on a record. Da Graveyard, anybody? Yeah, I know. No one kills Big L but the way Jay comes in with that flow.

Also that 4th point is kinda weak. I mean, one of Em's arguably best songs has a female hook. But I get where you're coming from, Alicia was a huge part of the success behind ESOM and the same goes for the Annie sample on Hard Knock Life.

Tbh, I accept it when people say he's a GOAT.
No, he wasn't one of the rappers who came out at you and demanded you're attention like a DMX or even a Tupac. Yeah he was kind of begging it off Biggie for some time but he's the rapper who paid his dues in some aspects.

Imo every wannabe rapper from Brooklyn would inspire to be a Hov or a B.I.G and that's why I think he can be classified as a GOAT.

I think anyone can make a valid argument for Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint, and The Black Album over the Slim Shady LP. But none of those three are as good as MMLP or TES.
