Maybe. I didn't even know people said that. I just took it literally as "if you shun/treat a kid like shit long enough...that kid is gonna eventually snap and kill everyone" haha. In the likes of Legacy/Brainless, but more lighthearted

I just thought of Million Dollar Baby, which is a boxing movie. I'm not 100% sure if it's a real boxing term actual boxers use lol was just guessing. I'm not well-versed in boxing.

I thought it would be cool if he related boxing with being a baby in the corner lol. I made the connection because that's what the song feels like to me. Is that he's battling like a boxer in the ring or something. I think it's neat though either way because I do love the track. It's awesome, not a single weak thing about it imo. Hook is dope, production is really dope, Em's verses are dope...just dope song period.

Nope, it's not a sample. Just a quote from the film that he re-uses. But interesting that these kids get no credit at all... Nikki Grier got "Additional Vocals" credit in the booklet for the "hidden" vocals on Cold Wind Blows.

Wasn't there some rumour that one of Ems daughters is in a choir? Maybe it's that choir that we're hearing...

Finally haha, I feel like this reference was lost on many.

This was the first non single that I really appreciated as I transcribed the whole song and annotated half of it on rap genius so I got a good grasp of it. Knew the reference straight away too. Solid song, some great flows in it.
