Let’s put the album sales in perspective.
US album sales are down ~10% this year, so far. This 4th quarter is looking even worse. Consider the quote below:
"Overall album sales in this past chart week (ending Nov. 24) totaled 5.29 million units, down 2% compared with the sum last week (5.39 million) and down 46% compared with the comparable sales week of 2012 (9.74 million)." (Billboard)

I honestly think all of this doesn't matter much because as soon as they'll release a video for The Monster it's gonna do what Thrift Shop did with The Heist. It's gonna give it some longevity and in the long run it might end up selling 3 millions or something.
Obviously not Recovery sales though.

Well atleast he didn't make a sell out album.
He made his own Stillmatic wich we all enjoy.
Recovery sales were awesome, but we cringe at the shitty Singles.
I don't mind a 40 year old, who is 11 years past his prime going plat in 2 weeks.
