If you create entirely different flows and sounds... you're just making a different song entirely over the same beat. This is a true homage in the way Em used to do them...

All of his lyrics are original, but you get the 'feeling' OF the original due to the mirroring. That's decent and I don't think any average rapper could do that at all.

If you come up with totally different schemes and flows over the same beat... that is not homage. That is just a completely different song over the same beat
