Of course it is hip hop but no american hip hop.
It is an album which never exist-ed before.
When you hear it you are in your own world.
Relapse isnt better than mmlp2 but relapse feels more special.

Yeah but I don't get that, well, I understand what you mean - but Em's accent does sound American in most spots, on most tracks to me. It's just the odd word or sentence where he's doing a weird accent but other than that, he sounds American and just emphasizing vowels and word sounds.

Yeah of course it is american hip hop.
But it isnt a typical hip hop album.
You cant order relapse in one category.
The style of Relapse is Relapse.
Its a own style.
Jay-z is the best!!!!!

Yeah, it's definitely very unique.

You can't even really classify it as horrocore, because even though he does rap about serial-killing shit on it... he blends it with his own life and other fantasy so much...

You have like weird fables and stories relating to his career like him saying he really just had a crush on Britney Spears; and now he's kidnapping her, and shit like that.

It's a very unique album.

Just watching the "Rap God" video again: not only is it fantastic, visually... but he looks cool A-F. Like, his actions and shit, definitely vintage him but in spots - cooler than EVER.

He looked so awkward with a lot of Recovery shit, even in the "Not Afraid" vid. He looks toooootallly comfortable, and cool as shit here.

His flows, the content, the quotables, classic MMLP2 shit right thurrrr.

I just remember all the hype when Rap God was out :flutter:
I'm not sure if it's the best, but I can agree with classic. :y:

I don't think I could put Relapse ahead of this album honestly. This feels like the most complete release we've gotten from Em since he came back. Combines a lot of the good on Relapse and improves on a lot of faults in Recovery. No weird accents, less shitty (literally) puns, better delivery, interesting concepts (albeit most of them cover things he's been rapping about since MMLP). To me, this feels like the album he had to make. The nostalgia helps a good bit; the entire appeal of this era helped sell me on the idea of such a risky album.

You gotta be retarded to put Relapse over MMLP2, as far album-quality goes.

MMLP2 is a talented rapper re-entering his prime, rapping with the style that suits him best,
rapping fresh and crisp, over older topics with a more mature standpoint of a 40 year old man.
Revisiting the good old days with some clever references and kewl samples.
Rapper critised for some bad choices that hurt his reputation in his two previous albums, learned his lesson, took the best from both worlds and put it in this album.
It is cohesive, balanced, and with the bonus tracks it is definetly the best album Eminem put out in a decade.

Relapse, even though it has many awesome moments, it is still mostly missplaced shock value, half of the accents are annoying, and it really is an attempt to make another SSLP, but with poor topics other than overdosing.
It still shits on Recovery.
RESPECT MY AUTHORITAAH
