people overrate it because there's more shit hip-hop in the 2000's because the top 40 billboard slowly made a shift to rappers plugging up the boards, like 50 cent etc.

so then u got peope like soulja boy and all that making pop-esque music. you didn't have that at all in the 90's.

so there is the same amount of great hip-hop from 90's and 00's but there's probs more crap stuff from 2000's onwards when it became cool for suburbia to be like niggas

This is from the first album I was talking about... It did great commercially to be honest esp. considering they came in the 90's when Hip-Hop was the hardest & there were very few acts similar to them if we talk about style & most of it age.
