Excuse my ignorance if this seems like a stupid quesion, but if the You Don't Know music video debuted in 2006, how does Obie Trice have Beats? I thought they didn't come out until 2008..?

Well, the Beats by Dre headphones as manufactured by Monster didn't come out until 2008. However, they originally planned to release the headphones through another company back in 2006, before some sort of sketchy business practices made the deal fall apart. Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine sued Jibe Audio and Pentagram (illoominnaughty!!) because they were apparently trying to take the design and sell it, instead of manufacturing it for Beats, LLC.

Soooo...my guess is that Obie got what were prototypes made by Jibe, and the reason it took another two years for Beats By Dre to come out was due to the fact that they had to find another company to partner with to manufacture the headphones.
