Em knows that fans in general are on his side. When it comes to his music, the general fans wipe their asses with what critics think. At the end of the day that just speaks volumes to how his music transcends and speaks to people far beyond the opinions of any critic, whether positive or negative.

When it comes to artists like Kanye, they rely on critics to create a buzz for them....and even that doesn't work for them all the time. See Yeezus.
