I think The Heist is definitely a classic. It's a masterpiece.

macklemore is not one of their options for aoty, it's basically between Daft Punk, Kendrick Lamar & Taylor Swift and like he said, they see Macklemore as the justin bieber of hip hop and as you already know, Justin bieber will never win a Grammy.
Pete and most of the other voters are aware hip hop fans don't fuck with Macklemore's album.
Well...that's kind of stupid, Pete sounds like a fucking moron.

Hhahah smfh.
She did sell a lot though, and it had a huge buzz so I wouldn't be surprised. I just don't really like her.

because the hip hop community is fully behind Kendrick for RAOTY but his album is just too "hip hop" for the aoty category. Many magazines/critics/fans support kendrick for aoty because it is still the most critically acclaimed album since its release and kendrick winning aoty would make gkmc the first hip hop album to ever win that award.
Realistically, 2 "hip hop" artists have already won AOTY but it was because of the crossover: Lauryn Hill & Outkast with a non hip hop album (The Love Below)
also, Babel won AOTY last year but lost in its own genre category because the support of the community wasn't there.
Arcade Fire won AOTY in 2011 and lost in their own genre category.
