I didn't really like the first one, so I don't care.

Another example of people trying to run a hyped up album into the ground by making a sequel so close after the first one dropped

Run the Jewels is easily a top 5 on the year album.


While their rapping was top notch on it, and the album was cohesive as fuck, imo, this was also the problem. Almost every song had the same beat, or atleast a similar one. Sure, it made it a cohesive sounding project, but it they didn't find a nice balance with the tracks

RTJ was a lil overrated to me. R.A.P music was better IMO. Still a good record though.
