I was listening to Underground Luxury today and I thought that is really easy to jump off the boat when it seems to be seaking. Other words, B.o.B is clearly struggling to fulfil his label mainstream expectations and not lose who he really is both personally and musically.
So, as a long time fan, I won't declare him dead to my ears and replace him with the first Chance that comes up. Other than loyalty, I still see that great artist in him. If you listen to coastline, nobody told me, john doe, b.o.b vs bobby ray (where are you) and so hard to breathe, those last two being from Strange Clouds, you can clearly notice that he's pretty aware of how his OG fans feel and his place in music today.
And we shouldn't act like he's stopped delivering top notch tracks because he still does, they just come along with a few 'OMG, he the biggest sell out ever' song.
Maybe with the low numbers he did this time around things will change, who knows?
All I know is that I ain't dissing the hell out of that nigga to then come back around riding his dick when he drops a new dope project sometime later like some members did with Eminem after Recovery (which I will forever think is an fucking amazing album) and now would love to suck his dick while listening to MMLP2 in his bed, and I'm counting the fucking deluxe tracks and Don't Front, so that's a pretty long god damn time.
