They picked this song because like people said already is very radio friendly, more than Bad guy. It's the kind of song that anybody can like, not necesary an Eminem fan.

And yeah the song is very personal and he doesn't like to talk about this, but is not that he is giving interviews right now, and anyway if they ask him he will say he said what he had to say in the song, like he always does.

A video for Bad Guy could be really cool. The whole thing could be done through Matthew's point of view, until it's revealed it's him, then we could see it all from a birds eye view.

I imagined a normal Stan pt.2 video up untill matthew's car hits the water with no music playing
Then the video starts going backwards in slow motion, the car gets out the water and the video accelerates really fast as the 4th verse begins and we see Em in a dark background rapping his verse throughout the entire song with flashes of other scenes that match with what he's saying, like new clips, his other music videos clips, awards accepting clips, and scenes made for the video, like

Em in a stage receiving a standing ovation and then the spotlight go off, he looks confused as the camera goes to his back and we see the stadium is now empty = ...the fans are no loger calling your name, cameras are off...

Pictures of rappers in a gold plate, like a wall of fame, with rappers that are no longer in the spotlight = ... It's sad but it happens to all of them

Em standing with Slim Shady, Stan and Mathew by his side, they all fade once they get mentioned on the song = ...Marshall Mathers don't rap his personas, and Matthew and Stan just simbolic...

But the biggest deal I have with a Bad Guy video is that the end of the 4th verse wouldn't make any sense on its own

there are way better options for a new single. There are so many good songs on MMLP2.

Singles aren't picked based on their overall quality but commercial potential, especially while the era is still in full swing. The Monster and Headlights are pretty much the only singles on MMLP2 with huge commercial potential. Beautiful Pain is another one but it's on the deluxe so it was probably never even considered.
