You see guys like steelez constantly bashing him because he's not doing "classic" hip hop. His reasoning is that, but It's so obvious what he actually wants to say. If Macklemore was black and made that music and actually became popular, nobody would hate on him, since he would be black

The poppish sound on The Heist is so garbage that even if Macklemore was black, The Heist wouldn't be well accepted by the majority of rap fans.

You are still distracting from the fact that I stated. 3005 is the biggest piece of pop shit this year, yet people, especially black people, don't hate on him for that. Why ? .. I don't think you are that stupid raul, I really doubt that.

Ok, I won't continue this race argument Noddy started.

I just think The Heist is garbage. Macklemore is a good rapper, but the The Heist is garbage.

It was started a long time ago by other people on the forum. Same people posted already in this thread. They are the first posting in that thread but don't post in other threads. Why do they feel the need to post in a macklemore thread but can't contribute to other threads .. hmmmmm

Of course, that's all you can say. Subjective one liners. "Macklemore is not good because I don't think he is."

How smart.

Kendrick x Macklemore will be the biggest and most important collaboration of the new era.

i've never listened to this macklemore fellow, but if he raps for the majority of the album, doesn't that make it a rap album by definition?

Not really. I listened to all of The Heist. I liked 4 songs, the rest was a painful experience.

EDIT to Horse: I thought it was 7/10 on that 2nd listen. I listened to the album 3 times more, after that day. I do like 4 songs now, I just don't like the rest.

Again. Macklemore is good as a rapper. BUT. THE. ALBUM. SUCKS. IMO. I hope he makes good projects in the future.

Excellent analysis brother.

A nice example is Take Care winning RAOTY when it's 70% R&B

dude, you fucking said it was a 6.5/10 album in that chat. noddy and i were there. 6.5/10 (which is far too low of a rating, but whatever) isn't a painful experience on any scale. please stop with the constant fucking hyperbole and retroactively trying to make your opinions "cooler" than they really were
