it's like he treats his every glance like a performance art where he needs to keep up this dark mean asshole mythical fucking machine kind of vibe, the hood constantly obscuring his face lately just adds to that I think.

I completely disagree. There's much better and more theatrical ways of projecting a dark image. I think occam's razor applies here: he's simply uncomfortable in public. Nothing wrong with that. But shielding your face and especially eyes is probably the worst thing you can do when trying to captivate an audience.

This is extremely disrespectful to people that pay to come see you live. It's completely against the point of putting on a show.

I disagree completely, because Em interacts with the audience more than most.

He has little interludes and theatrics, little updates and things that many performers of his magnitude don't at all... I see his hood over his face as much symbolic to his '''feel'' of an artist now as his middle fingers used to be, I don't see why that's disconnecting, he's right there, energetic as fug and he makes a show out of it.
