The homosexual themes of Stan & Bad Guy by Eminem

**WARNING. ENGLISH IS NOT MY FIRST LANGUAGE! SORRY FOR ANY GRAMMAR MISTAKES!**

When Stan dropped in 2000 whit MMLP, we get to know Stan Mitchell, an obsessed Eminem fan. His story was shocking. He writes multiple letters to Eminem but never got a reply. He gets upset, and kills (accidentally) himself and his pregnant girlfriend.

Because the song stated that his got a girlfriend, nobody really though that he was gay. Or at least Bisexual. Here are some lyrics

>I got a room full of your posters and your pictures, man

In the Video, Stan indeed got a room full of Eminem pictures. But why. Yeah Off course his a fan but having dozens off pictures of him. If you think about it, its really feels like than Stan act's like a teenage girl, who literally feel love toward to his favorite artist, putting his (and his body) all over around him. Tho this is just a theory.

>I even got a tattoo of your name across the chest

Right above his heart. Again this is a really weak theory, but worth mentioning it.

>P.S. We should be together too/I loved you Slim, we coulda been together

Now this is a big one. Its really weird to end a letter with "We should be be togheter". Its strongly implies that Stan didn't wanted just a letter back. He actually wanted to be with Eminem togheter. And the "I Loved you slim". Em fans loves his music, not Eminem himself. Later on the song Eminem asked "And what's this shit about us meant to be together?" He too though that Stan was gay.

But the mayor giveaway that Stan was gay is this line

>Remember when we met in Denver

Wait what. This line? Isnt this just a shout-out to the city Denver? Well before the song "Stan" Eminem performed only once in Denver where (According to Eminem's grandmother in [this](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bNXeZAGc38#t=252) interview) a gay fan of Slim tried hugging and kissing him after begging Shady to let him go backstage at a Denver concert. Kinda a shocker isn't it?

And there we go to Bad Guy, Matthew Mitchel, who not once state's Eminem lyrics toward the gays.

>Now who's a faggot, you punk

>Now say you hate homos again

>I'm the bullies you hate, that you became with every faggot you slaughtered

I think Eminem created Bad Guy (and maybe Stan) to create have the "Gay community" revenge on him. A Poetic justice. The hated he show toward gays (specially in the original MMLP) was so big, he needed to... diss/kill himself in a song. Because his not a homophobic in real life but in his character, Slim Shady. (Thats why Stan and Matt never calls Eminem as Eminem, but Slim) This how justice fulfill.

Hope you didn't cringe all the way while reading this!

I used to have passion for Eminem like Stan, but he really let me down more often than not. My same passion went to the character on my avatar and signature, the one and only Jesse Pinkman who never let me down and was always true to his job.

I thought it was common knowlege that Stan and Matthew were in love with Em?
I think it's clearer with Matthew because Stan had a lot more going on, Em's personas are usually created to potray issues he's facing at that point in time; MMLP era was mostly accusations of inspiring violence, now it's homophobia people are mostly complaining about.
Everything makes sense if you think of Matthew as an overdramatic, lonely young man who feels guilty for loving the guy responsible for his brothers death.

Stan was gay but more in an obsessed fan kind of way. He eat, slept, and breathed Eminem and would leave his pregnant girlfriend to have Eminem with him at all times.

However, I believe Matthew is an actual homosexual. I've had this theory for awhile, but I believe this is why even though he is a fan of Eminem himself he seems to take the homophobic parts of Eminem's music more personal "Now who's a faggot you punk?/Now say you hate homos again!"

^ This.
And y'all can't tell me that when you heard the first verse, you didn't think Em was talking about Kim or some other woman he had a relationship with.
