My guess is Busta's shit got pushed back because of lack of a buzz? I could be wrong but that's usually why albums get pushed back.

Wouldn't dropping this song be a good way to create the buzz they need to drop the album, or am I way off?

Surely releasing it can't hurt his buzz.

I always wondered if these big time labels had a few people follow the internet, like forums, twitter, fb, etc. to check buzz and comments for what could make them better, what people like/dislike, etc. I assume they do but who knows

But even though Em's name is still huge... he's collaborated a lot (by his standards) since 09 and with people he never normally would have in his ''1st run'', so it doesn't feel as special any more to have his name attached to a collaboration, so I honestly think holding it like this will just kill it, people aren't THAT excited any more... so just put the shit out and give Busta all the buzz he can because this ain't achieving Jack.

Exactly. And this is even more relevant today, people lose interest in anything if they have to wait too long. Unless the plan is to wait until everyone has forgotten so it makes more of an impact (sounds like a stupid plan to me but I wouldn't put in past these suits)
