I wasn't really down with Headlights initially but I can dig it now. I'm not one of those who is automatically down with any kind of "real" song he makes either. Didn't like No Apologies, Mockingbird, or Beautiful. But I like this one.

I like it personally but if people want to talk about Recovery being soft, I'll concede that song. Still though, it's nowhere near as soft as STIW on this album, and even The Monster sounds more pop than LTWYL in my opinion.

The point I was making overall is that Recovery is far from soft or emo. "I stuck my dick in this game like a rapist" is not something I'd consider emo. Or tons of other lines on Almost Famous, On Fire and the other songs I mentioned.

I know people on here hate the album but if he would have went and released Relapse 2 in 2010 as opposed to Recovery, that would have been in it for his career. He'd be in Detox mode right now promising an album and releasing tracks that ultimately would never be on it and the album itself would have a giant question mark as to its release. Recovery saved his career. It was a necessary album in his discography.

When it's good, he's untouchable. When it doesn't sound generic like "alright let me put a personal track on the album," he's at his best. But lately some of his personal songs seem generic or forced, like he thinks it's expected of him to make them.

For example, like I said, I don't like STIW, but I like Hailey's Song. Both of them are singing tracks, but I felt where he was coming from on Hailey's Song much more than STIW. Both are personal, but I enjoy one and really dislike the other.

He's always been a ghost when it comes to the public eye. The difference from then and now is at least he went to award shows. He's never around unless it's a rare tv thing. It's weird being a fan of someone so large, yet doesn't have paps following him.

I liked the window pane line. I thought it was clever. I don't let peoples' opinions on specific lines get to me. Some people had an issue with the italian sausage line on Legacy and I actually laughed out loud the first time I heard it, given the context. I didn't take it literal, I saw it as, that's how much has to happen for you to beat him. Not only do pigs have to fly out of his ass which is already impossible, but on the off chance that actually happens, they have to fly out of his ass in a flying saucer filled with sausage.

Anyway, I don't think there's ever been a line said by him that ruined a song for me. The closest he ever came was the K-Fed line on Berzerk because of how embarrassingly dated it is. I mean even if he would have said it on Recovery in 2010 it would have been dated. But still, it's not enough for me to not listen to Berzerk.

You know that it is a wordplay on "window pane" and the pain you feel leaning there waiting for your loved one. I dont know, i generaly like everything he puts out cause it purely reflects him at the given moment.

P.S.I just feel that stans hate Rihanna too much (and for no particular reason). Imo yeah she is not a very good singer but she only sings like 3-4 bars in one song in an album and that spoils the fun for you??

This kinda sums my thoughts up one line or hook tbh doesnt ruin any song for me. But as for berzerk. Lookin back toe jam was kinda funny and idk. I do know i dick rode berzerk tho. Loved the shit out of it since day 1
