Chart Watch: Two Movie Songs In Top 5

As promised, here's the news about "Lose Yourself." The hip-hop anthem tops the 6 million mark in digital sales this week. The song was released in October 2002, six months before the opening of the iTunes store. So the fact that it has achieved this tremendous sales tally is remarkable. Only one other song that was released prior to 2007 has sold 6 million digital copies. That's Journey's 1981 hit "Don't Stop Believin'," which has sold 6,041,000 copies.

On March 23, 2003, "Lose Yourself" became the first hip-hop song to win an Academy Award for Original Song. Eminem didn't appear on the telecast, either to perform or pick up his Oscar. (He had performed the song on the Grammys exactly one month earlier—an appearance that probably clinched his Oscar win.)

Not really because of the drop of MMLP2.TES has been doing great since June 2013.

All Eminem albums had incredible increase in sales in the first week (some of them for many weeks) after TMMLP2 was released & nearly all came back to Top 200 & stayed there for a while & as a matter of fact all of them had an incredible increase after Recovery was released as well. TES had big weeks here & there in 2013 when it's been on sale but it pretty much was outside Top 200 for the most part before TMMLP2 dropped.
This is the unique thing about Em... whenever he releases a new album all the rest come back a well. People only watch TMMLP2 sales right now but other albums constantly move numbers & add to their tally as well.
Please share whatever else numbers you find on the way of searching for the TMMLP2 ones!
