I didn't even catch that lol. Sorry Ms. Painkiller

Once someone straight calls you out by name you don't respond with a loosely associated subliminal. In his Breakfast Club interview a couple weeks ago or so he said he was "waiting and ready" for someone to call him out/drop his name on a song because "he's not that guy to fuck with" or whatever. Man up and respond.

Even when they do well they can never do enough to please you right? Now run off with your girl and find some dicks to suck to score some more blow.

It's definitely a response and not at all weak. It's a great flip on Jay's line, nice wordplay, double entendre, subtle but clever. It was executed well.
It's a nice punchline I guess, but as a response it's weak imo. There's nothing there to even go on. Jay manned up and straight called you out. Jab back. That little subliminal isn't enough to keep any spark lit. Drake literally said he was waiting for the day someone drops his name in a song. Fucking back it up and be a man.
All that really did was acknowledge it and brush it off. Because Drake won't start shit. Jay's been lazy as fuck recently but even he showed he was ready to step up.

There is no better way to respond to someone than taking the line they took at you and flipping it and figuratively saying I can do it better than you.
He doesn't need to say his name but I would like something more powerful than that. Just like how Drake responded to Kendrick by saying he's "killin the hooks" or whatever...he responds to Jay by talking about how many "hits" he has. For a dude saying he's not to be fucked with waiting to go at a nigga I would just expect something a little more.
Why on earth would I think they're going to fight? lmao There is a middle ground in between subliminal and fighting. I just want a proper diss. It would be a win win. Jay would have to start rapping harder, and Drake would have a chance to shake that "soft" image he hates these days. It would be good fun.
StayWideAwake wrote:PAINKILLƎR wrote:The whole point is that his line is better than the one Jay threw at him. He doesn't have to dedicate to whole song to Jay just for one line lol.
True. I wasn't really talking about the "cleverness" of it, I just wanted something more offensive to be completely honest. I hate getting all excited for feuds and have them just sizzle out because they don't even feel like they have to respond. I want some shit that the other one feels obligated to respond to. Ya know?
