College Dropout, Late Registration and Graduation are my favourites but I don't consider them classics. MDTF is considered a classic by many though I think.
Fuck top five, bitch, I'm top four
And that includes Biggie and Pac, whore
And I got an Evil Twin
So who the fuck do you think that third and that fourth spot's for?

So critical reception is everything an album needs to become a classic ? That's blasphemy

no, but it certainly goes a long way, and the album's bold, unique sound (love it or hate it, it doesn't sound like much else out there) only helps.

CD doesn't really sound unique, it didn't even sound unique back then. Yeezus sounds like a death grips rip off, don't try to even deny that. Tell me one of his albums that sound unique. Waiting.

a couple of the more aggressive songs on yeezus appear to have a death grips influence, but it's pretty reductive to write the whole thing off as a "death grips rip off." other than possibly the first two albums, which have a similarly soul-influenced sound, every kanye album has its own distinct sound that separates it from the rest of his discography.

Sure, almost every album sounds different, doesn't change the fact that his albums don't sound unique in comparison to other albums that came out before that particular album dropped.

And most of Yeezus is a death grips rip off, or atleast heavily influenced by it, which also proves that Yeezus is nothing close to a blueprint (pun inteded), but more like a replica with his touch on it.

Man, I love My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. If that album isn't a classic, then I don't know what is.

college dropout is just alright even with the amazing standout tracks it has but I would say only Late Registration and MBDTF.

Graduation is my favorite Kanye album, but I'm sure most will agree that he has better albums in his discography.

As for classics, MBDTF is more than likely up there. As for the rest, not sure... I really wish more people liked Graduation haha
