Roots of Evil is so nice. I don't know when he "perfected" it, but he definitely expanded the amount of syllables with each of his 4/5 first albums. His verse on Home Sweet Funeral Home is awesome. He was always great at rhyming. Even in his newer shit his rhymes are always crazy. I've been listening to Riches Royalty and Respect recently and he's still dope.

he perfected it imo on roots of evil because he did not consistently rhyme 5-6 syllables that matched in syllable count and had various rhyme schemes til roots of evil all those other albums he would have a line or 2 that was over 2 syllables other then that he was just a 2 syllable 3 syllable rhymer.

I think Kool G always had a pretty knowledgeable grasp on the concept of rhyming but it only makes sense the farther into his career, the more he'll learn and grow with them.
