good find with that tweet! i hadn't thought about it, but it makes sense because they have a song called lifter puller (among others named after artists). lifter puller is a great band and craig finn is said to be a big fan of atmosphere.

you're welcome! unfortunately, they're no longer active, but craig finn has been with his new band, the hold steady, since the mid-2000s and they've made some great music as well. separation sunday is a 5/5 album for me. finn's a hell of a lyrical storyteller.

I did like the song you just showed me. I don't know too many Indie bands, but I do love a few of them, and I did like his writing style. Think I should check his old work and/or any of The Hold Steady's?

People have to accept that with age, people calm down and switcb ig up, like Em for example. Slug is married now with 3 kids. Everyone expects him to go back to they GLU/ST days. To an extent he can, but not fully. He's in a different place now. Yeah his flow is a lot more calm and laid back but it is what it is. Frankly I am happy with bitter and Kanye west and am excited for southsiders. I'm expecting this will be on par with lemons. Not to mention on Saturday they are releasing 'Lake Nokomis maxi single EP' with 3 additional songs from southsiders, I don't need no fancy shit, idiot, and prelude to hell. Its an exclusive release on Record store day at Fifth element, their record store in Minneapolis. I'm picking it up. I'll create a thread for it.
