I'm not that much into either of them tbh. I've tried numerous times to get into Illmatic but i zone out after about 4 tracks into it. I've downloaded the re-release that Raul posted to attempt another listen sometime soon. However i do love God's Son, the beats are dope as fuck on it. I'm not feeling Jay Z's shit either, except the album with, Watcher 2 on it, and that's because of the beats again. There's something about these two that just doesn't captivate me enough to want to get into them, idk
I respect Nas's position and what he's done for hiphop but i feel Jay Z is a tad overrated tbh

no one denying that jay-z one of the greats but the reason he got overlooked on renegade was because eminem rhyme schemes and flow was far more complex then jay-z and he got spanked on that song.
