bought Relapse in 09', hooked ever since.

My Mom was the song that was the boom. I finished it and I was like 'I need to listen to every song this guy made'.

Some of my female classmates at the time were performing a dance in the 4th grade to 50 Cent - Candy Shop. They didn't seem to understand the meaning of it, but I could tell it was bad. It was weird because I live in Sweden and the parents of these kids were just watching this shit and finding it adorable because they didn't get the message of the song either. It was awkward as fuck, but I found it intriguing how one song could have so much awful shit in it. A few days later Shake That played on MTV, and out of sheer luck I happened to be walking by and found it catchy. That's how my Em/Hip-Hop days started.

I got into eminem when I "stole" Curtain call from my dad. At first I only liked the fast-paced songs, then all of them, (still don't like mockingbird or COMC tho) then I started downloading everything.

what a horror it must have been to hear fack

anyway i think i got into him with when im gone and then i just listened to most of his shit

The intro was fucking funny tho. "This one's for the ladies"

My big brother listened to him kinda but i never really did pay attention, he would listen to 50 cent more and only the "famous" eminem songs at the time. So in 2006 when "Smack that" got released i really liked it and then when i got an MP3 i would ask my brothers to put songs on it and they would ask which ones and i would say "all the eminem ones you have" which were like 23 songs (Drips was probably my favourite song from those 23 lol), and i would bump them all day. When i got my Computer, I searched everything about eminem and download all his albums and DAMN! it was amazing, so much new music kicking in and I knew i was a fan cuz most stuff sounded nothing like "smack that" (which was the first eminem song i liked) but i still loved it. So much memories

Well, my cousin showed me TES and Encore and I loved them. I loved TES (White America, Goodbye Hollywood, and SFTM/TIC. I also loved the song Encore, Evil Deeds, And Soilders. Remember at the time I am around 8. I then heard Curtain Call and got introduced to his older music LOVED IT.Then I cussed this girl out in like 3rd grade and my parents said NO EMINEM. So while Em was busy overdosing, I knew nothing of such and listened to pretty much rock. Then 2009, I was like 13ish, I asked if I could buy SSLP, cus I wanted to get back into em. I got that and loved it and re-visited TES and ENCORE. I got into him big time! I then found out Relapse was coming out the next week (which was the time I got off school for the summer. I was going to get MMLP but got Relapse. I found out what happened to him and I was then a STAN. I loved Relapse, but not as much as the other albums. But still great. I then got MMLP and loved it. BEST ALBUM. I later listened to Refill and also loved it. Em and I were back! As I waited for Recovery I checked out his D12 stuff and of course loved it. I then searched for pretty much every song he was featured in and loved those. Then Recovery came. At first I was like "this is his best album to date" but then later I realized I liked MMLP TES and ENCORE better (and SSLP was about same). HTS is released and I loved that. So then came the years of Em's 2nd absence and barley any features. So I checked into unrealeased stuff and I am still getting a LOT of that(even though I dont have much more of it to doewnload! haha). MMLP2 is released and I believe it is his BEST album (Still do). I loved the nostalgia and rhymes/story everthing about it. Now I wait for the next album Em is on. As I wait I will enjoy MMLP2 and his other works/features. I also recently checked out SLaughterhouse (there OK) and Yelawolf(love him!) But now I am back on the MMLP2 listenss and just loving Em, and knowing stuff about him. I know a lot now and I love cheking out his '90s work (b4 SSLP), cool to see him do that at a young age. And now I can say I am a STAN.

P.S. Because of em I no longer listen to the radio trash and listen to AC/DC and pretty much all GOOD hip hop. I havent listened to the radio in years! haha

This lol it happens to me all the time that everyone, EVERYONE!, EVERY SINGLE PERSON, even My MOM knows some hip new pop song that's been playing and it's popular, and i listen to it like 3 weeks after it was popular and be like "shit, I never knew this song was popular, look how many views it has, WTF?? why wasn't i informed about this?" , literally happens all the time. Shit there's probably some popular song out there i don't know about right now

To be fair, it's easier to criticize Eminem now because he's just not as good as he used to be.

that's true but it's easy to criticize anyone in any genre after a long run like that, some of the criticism i see for example on tr is pretty fair but other criticism on tr is completely laughable.

I read your posts a lot mostly i agree but sometimes you're really off.

I actually wish i lived in the MMLP era with the hype and critics and all these feminist and gay groups against him, i mean i was alive at that time but never knew about em

i didn't know who 2 chainz, Macklemore, Kendrick lamar, Mac Miller, MGK, Wiz khalifa and a bunch of other rappers untill like late 2013 when i started going on youtube way more and seen their videos on the front page

My friend had 50's cd "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" he had barely bought it I wasn't really into hip hop/rap music at the time. But When I started listening and got to track no. 3 Patiently Waiting started playing and I read on the back of the cd where the tracklist is that a dude named eminem was featured I was like who the fuck is he. lol When it got to his verse the first time I heard Em's voice and heard him rap I wanted to listen more from him. So I started looking and buying all of his cd's it was 2003 at the time. So I got me the MMLP and The Eminem Show I started listenind and...Boom Shakalaka! Instant Stan. No questions asked like fuck it I started to love eminem like a fuckin' groupie.
