All the hype leading up to MMLP2. People thinking of sequel songs, what will Em talk about, etc. Then the leak happens and you listen to that first song. It starts out (that intro music is great too) as an obvious story track but it's a little vague at first. Could be about anyone/anything tbh. Then it gets a little more intense with the character saying that he's going to kill whoever he's talking about, someone who clearly has been on his mind for a long time.
Then the 3rd verse hits. The vagueness starts to fade with minor references that the listener might not catch on their first listen. "Here's your Broncos hat, you can have that shit back cause they suck". Then it becomes obvious. "It's just me, you and the music now Slim. I hope you hear it". How fucking hard did you flip out when you heard that line? I'll never forget it. He's actually doing a Stan sequel to kick off MMLP2. It was one of the most surreal things I've ever heard. It was incredible.
Then after the 3rd verse Eminem is killed and the music changes and Eminem picks back up with an aggressive tone and a dark voice underneath his own. AND HE GOES ON TO SPIT THE REALEST VERSE IN ALL OF HISTORY SPEWING CRAZY LINE AFTER CRAZY LINE ABOUT FUCKING..... LIFE MAN. Just summing up so much shit that's been eating away at his mind for years with such passion it's mind blowing. And how incredible is that instrumental?!?! Jesus Christ. You would think that he's rapping over the most intense movie score depicting battles consisting of millions of men.
"Better make sure you're packing a WALLOP!" and GOT DAMN is he packing a wallop. Then, the music (mostly) cuts and he picks up with a softer flow, saying that he's back for ONE LAST TIME before everything is all over and trying to recapture the magic of the amazingness that was MMLP. I got chills so hard during this part I thought I was sitting in an igloo in the middle of January on the North Pole. Then his voice slowing fades out while you try to comprehend every incredible thought that was just forced into your mind. Beautiful artistry by Eminem.
This song is a long-time Eminem fan's dream come true.

I chuckled in disbelief as the third verse came in (what else was I supposed to do) and then when fourth verse came in and finished, I just laid there in shock and was speechless.
Same. I love hearing hugely anticipated albums for the first time like that.
