Looking up the meaning of lyrics on Rap Genius is for faggots
What Tech N9ne actually meant by unga bunga bunga is that he feels the gap between the rich and poor is browing considerably, hence the doubling of the word 'bunga'. Bunga rhymes with munga, which means money in some parts of Kansas City, which means double money = double munga = double bunga. Unga is the Mayan term for peasant. Peasant money money, peasants are looking at all of the money and feeling really sad.

Obviously you don't come here to seek approval, you dimwit.

However, you do rate your reasoning in general, be honest m8. But, like, you kinda just can't hack it, tbh.

I can't speak for Class, but he had a similar response as mine. The thread ironically proved the point that was made in an earlier thread - that some people actually think "as a rapper not an artist/only judge using rap skills" is a valid criteria, and not an ignorant mindset.

bein real I can kinda see why people do that. Like I can enjoy rappers like Waka flocka even if he isn't the most skilled first and foremost cause of his beats and atmosphere as well as personality and energy. Now if he had shitty beats he probably wouldn't even register on my radar like at all. Kanye also isn't the most technical rapper, lesbireal. Like I hate using the word techinically but even a lot of his most ardent fans would admit that he used to have shaky delivery, corny lines, bad breath control, and shit. It was mostly his writing and charisma that got him through that, although ironically I think he tremendously improved as a rapper in MBDTF. Whereas Elzhi conversely would rap circles around kanye and is an mc's mc who is as technical as they come but still hasn't dropped an album that rly showcased his skills. (Elmatic is a classic mixtape tho and at times might prefer listenin to it over illmatic), but yeah there is a difference and differentiating them isn't retarded.

Also what if a rapper completely sucked like literally sucked but only got by cause of his beats and his albums are only good cause of guest features. Would that still put him over someone who's infinitely more skilled but doesn't have an album to his name.

edit: @ dead prez

i think if they were legitimately bad, people would unanimously agree they aint top 10 and shit.

cos the thing with kanye is he's not a bad rapper in any sense lol.

too many people on this site actually think he fits the bill of your last paragraph lol.

--

and yo, there's obviously rappers who excel in the technical areas and one's that don't. but people confuse this with rappers that "rap well" and rappers that are "good hip hop artists". lol.

it's that confusion that is stupid af.

Listen. If the next time we have a discussion, you'd like to make a point against something I've "reasoned", then do so. But other than that, you're just going to continue to say I think I rate my intelligence, I'm going to tell you no, you're going to tell me I just "think I'm smart"...so on. I think it would make a lot of sense to just save that for the next time we have a discussion and then just make points against my points if you'd like. Yeah?

I dont rly give a fuck ay m8.

was just getting my Satire on and tryna be insightful tbh.

cos like, crashband's tr observations usually on point

I agree, I even found yeezus enjoyable. The rapping had such a kitschy charm to it that worked well with songs like Bound 2 (that sample>>>*). I do feel that some people overrated kanye's writing cause he tackles somewhat sociopolitical topics and just give him good lyrics of that alone. But yeah he isn't a bad rapper by any sense. I only bring that up because I still find yung lean abysmal even though his beats are gud. & this is someone that loves flocka & three six mafia, lol.

lol, i actually thought of yung lean when u mentioned that. i dunno ay.

i actually kinda like his stream of consciousness style, but the main attraction is obvs his beats.

Menzo wrote:I have to give Yeezus another chance. I'd say I enjoyed 30% of it but now that the initial shock of its overall sound has settled, I'm probably in a bit of a better mind state to jump into it.

The first four songs are great. I talked about this with my friends but right before Hold my liquor it almost seemed like he was goin for a revolutionary (dead prez) type record with black skinhead, and I am a God. Than Hold my liquor comes in and just ruins the mood, lol. Although Bound 2 is the most out of place song in that record, it's probably my favorite.

I dunno m8, I just find his whole meme rap cringe and just for tumblr autists that don't rly enjoy rap. I have such a stigma against rap like yung lean so he can go fuck himself.

If you think Eminem hasn't influenced a staggering amount of up and coming rappers, you're a complete moron.

If you think there aren't a bunch of up and coming rappers who are modelling their style on old Eminem's multi-heavy, humor-heavy style, you're an idiot.

Eminem's influence lies mainly in the underground. You can hear Eminem's influence in guys like Mac Lethal, Dumbfoundead, 360 and Hopsin, just to name a few.
