What do you think Eminem's most common word is? What's his most unique albums, in terms of words?

Discography: Infinite, SSEP, SSLP, MMLP, TES, ENCore, RELapse, Relapse REFilll, RECovery, MMLPII
No Repeat Songs, No Skits, Includes Features, No repeated hooks, Includes Intro and Outro
No stop words: the, and, an, etc
No pronouns: my, you, you’re, etc (with exception of I’ll)


The most common Eminem word to no surprise was like with 729 occurrences. It completely blew out number #2 and so on, so I decided to factor it out. “Shit” came out at number 1, with 369 occurrences in his entire discography.

I started this study after reading the Largest Vocab in Hip Hop article, and I decided to take a different look at uniqueness, and how many unique words Eminem used in his discography and per his albums.

SSLP is 32.2% unique; 2096 unique words out of 4408.See Bar Graph

TES is 31.1% unique; 2168 unique words out of 4811.See Bar Graph

MMLPII is 30.8% unique; 3552 unique words out of 7987.See Bar Graph

MMLP is 30.7% unique; 2166 unique words out of 4890.See Bar Graph

Observations and Notes:
Most Common Word is Shit,
Most Unique Album is Relapse (Infinite, REFill and SSEP were more unique, but they were also much shorter).



1) It worthy to note that the most unique album, in terms of words, is Relapse which is arguably the album most unlike the others. The least unique album is considered by most fans his worst, Encore.
2) Considering Eminem was not allowed to play Hyde Park because of his potty-mouth, it's also interesting to see that "Shit" was Em's most common word and swear word. How many of you thought it was this was his most common word? I thought his most common swear word would be "Fuck," which came in third.

Doesn't surprise me that Relapse has the most unique occurrences, though. Not my favourite album but lyrically it's intense.

im curious tho is intros/outros to songs count, and if he used a word in a hook if that counted every time or just every time he said it in one set of the hook.

It includes Intros/Outros, hooks are counted once. Word with endings like -ed, -ing, -ly would be counted as different words. (such as run, running are different words).
