I watched it twice. The first time I was like "okay", the second time I really really liked it.

Same here. That's why I told people to watch it more times before starting to be faggots about it.

This is exactly what happened when Berzerk was released.

Still tho.... the monster video got old fast. Its fun cuz of the nostalgic factor, but Rap God and Berzerk were much more original and unique and had a concept behind them, just like Headlights. The monster video was just like "hey this song is generic so lets just have eminem recreate old better music videos for no reason, and lets have rihanna show cleavage." It looked good and i liked the video but imo Rap God,Berzerk, Headlights video>>>

POV has just as much artistic integrity as any other camera angle, but I don't think a 4 minute music video was the correct platform for it. An entire piece of film using that device needs, in my opinion, a lot more room to breathe. It can look incredibly professional and absorbing given a 90 minute + window (See 'Maniac' (2012) and 'Peeping Tom' (1960)...Heck, a fair bit of 'Rear Window' takes place through a telescope lens..) Point is, I believe people think it looks amateurish because nothing spectacular was done with it. When everything suddenly has to be at eye level, it makes a lot of the shots look very plain and normal (Maybe that was intentional), but it certainly wasn't as visually interesting to watch. The films mentioned above allowed their characters to fall over, hide under things, drop the camera, get up high, peer over walls/ledges etc.

It's totally subjective, but that's my gripe, and my explanation. Otherwise, the concept was fine and everything else was ok. But I don't think the device was correct. I've sympathised with hundreds of characters before with and without POV.

At the end of the day however, it's a selfish opinion. If this is the video I assume Em wants his Mother to see, then so be it.

I expected so much more. It wasn't bad but it's the worst MMLP2 video out of them all.

But I did somewhat enjoy it even though I feel disappointed. The hug towards the end was heartbreaking.

Ha. Sure, Maniac wasn't the best film. I thought some of the killings were interesting from that perspective though (the ankle slash in the car park), which is why I mentioned it in regards to that angle being totally viable.

I don't often watch many music videos long after they've been released anyways. I hadn't seen COMC for ages until someone mentioned the weird neck movement bit a while ago.
