Released on May 15th, 2009, Relapse is considered by some stans as the best album since Eminem's comeback.

The production of the album gets praised a lot, along with Eminem's intricate rhyme schemes and flows.

Déjà Vu, Same Song and Dance, Beautiful, Stay Wide Awake and the deluxe tracks are the highlights of the album, from what I see in the discussions of TRShady.

5 years? Aiyt that pisses me off. Because that sounds too long ago n shit.

5 years was the length of time between SSLP and Encore ffs. Seems huge. Obviously feels longer with that due to how he went from nobody to legend and the huge shifts between those first four in particular.

Although he continues to hugely shift in style tbf. Relapse to Recovery? Recovery to MMLP2? Nobdoy saw these shits coming. The only thing is with MMLP2 perhaps there's songs like ''Survival'' and ''Legacy'' which are VERY Recovery-esque in the structure and style. More-so than any of the other albums.

When i originally heard this, i wasn't that satisfied with it. It wasn't the Eminem that i had became accustomed to. But i forced myself to like it (like a good little Stan). Over time though i grew to love it. Awesome album

I don't think Legacy sounds more Recovery-esque tbh .. the hook maybe, but even there it doesn't sound like some bubble gum pop artist tbh

Did you do that with Recovery too? Relapse for me, was a natural liking. I genuinely enjoyed it and thought it was dope but Recovery was a pretty painful adaption/acceptance process to go through.
