Those songs are just crazy, Em is just getting better & better all the time. :flutter:

I don't believe it'll ever be a classic, it has some material on it that you would hear on a classic Em album (Bad Guy, Rhyme Or Reason, Asshole, Rap God, So Far..., Evil Twin, Groundhog Day) but it's not going to have an impact on the game as much as his first three did.

unfair tbh, :( dudes 41 and by that age to still make an album THIS fuckin good is awesome as hell... :flutter:
i dont think anyone can have a run like em 1999-2002. nobody not kendrick nobody.
what i dont think is fair is to say an album isnt a classic just because it didnt have this huge crazy impact on the game... its 2014 not 2000, yakno?

YES. I think this album is just as good (IMO BETTER) than some of those first 3! Its just the common music taste of todays age sucks ass. People say Kendrick is a God but he would not be "dope" back in like 2000. Hed be average.

I've lost my mind, caution oh God I think I've just thought of another fucking line
Forgive me father, for I have sinned
But hip hop has left me brainwashed with a violent streak

No, you just have shitty music taste and think the rest of the world must be the wrong one since most people would not agree with anything you're saying. You've still got a lot to learn about the art of hip-hop clearly.

MMLP2 is NOT a classic.
It's just a good-ish album. I
personally don't play it that much.

Pls, explain

I agree with Menzo.
All this "classic album" talk is a waste of time. For me-SSLP, MMLP, TES are classics. Illmatic is a classic. MMLP2 also. Some albums from rappers here in Croatia and Serbia are also classics in my book. And that`s it. People say that MBDTF is a classic and I can`t see that. Kanye...I just don`t like him. Jay Z has some great songs, but most of his songs are bad, to me. So I wouldn`t call any of his albums a classic.

Does it really need an explanation? A classic album can't have skip-able tracks. MMLP2 has quite a few. It also isn't just about the album.

A classic album has to change the genre, or at least cause a ripple. I just can't see this album doing this now, or to an extension ever.

EVERY ALBUM HAS SKIP-ABLE TRACKS! Damn, MMLP has Amityville and Under The Influence. TES has When The Music Stops, Say What You Say, and some even say Square Dance is skip-able. SSLP has My Fault, If I had. GOD DAMN, a classic album doesnt have to be perfect?!?! And tbh, if we are going by non-skipable tracks then MMLP2 is the only classic because it has tracks for every kind of mood, therefor you will like them at one point. And IMO MMLP2 has 0 skip-able tracks. Now not every track is a 10 or OMG PERFECT but it has a lot of those type of songs. MMLP2 will be a classic. Its just not rn cus it just came out.

Its not changeing the genre becuase RAP SUCKS NOW. LIterally, wqhen Drake is getting #1 album of year and Macklemore is "Rap" its not going to change anything. Eminem isnt doing the same as others, he is completely different from everyone else rn.

Ive heard people say GKMC is a classic, it didnt change the game? He just put out something that fits the "now".

Like himshadow said, for me MMLP2 is a classic. Im not going to let anyone change my mind. An album THAT good has to be a classic, I think its his best album, if you disagree, I can see your argument and I accept that. But tbh I dont see how anyone can say this album is not in his top 3.

How exactly is Macklemore not rap? How does rap "suck now"?

I agree with whoever said that it doesn't need to be a classic, as classic is a word primarily used to convince people of the quality of something you like.
I like the album a lot. I don't see that ever changing, regardless of what people think/say.
