commercial music is just changing. it's so obvious with the nominees.

shakira and the chili peppers? i'm not saying they don't deserve them, but they've never really been an MTV staple for the past 5 years.

from 2000 - 2005, MTV was mostly either hip hop or teen pop.

now you got shit like panic at the disco, fall out boy, madonna, chili peppers...

the chili peppers and madonna have been around for awhile... but since when did people my age started listening to them?

the state of music is drastically changing... i mean, daddy yankee for best hip hop? yung joc for best rap? the fuck is wrong with that...

mtv is so annoying now. they made mtv2 to add more music, but then that became the old/reject shows. So now they have MTVmv which is just all music videos, but it also sucks.. playing a loop over about 50 music videos throughout the day.

anyway the vmas will suck this year and these are my votes
