Almost Famous

As most people here, I'm a relapse fan over recovery....but I still respect a lot of songs from recovery. But, unlike most people here, I'm not a fan of Almost Famous. I love the concept of the song, and want to like it, but I just can't understand the love for it here. I am starting this post so people can state what they like about this song. I personally don't like it for all the reasons I don't like recovery, beat, chorus, and god awful puns. I like this song more than some on recovery, but honestly can't figure out how this is one, top 5 on recovery (which isn't a complement) or two, a top 5 song since his comeback.

I definitely wouldn't say it's a top 5 since comeback. I thought his lyricism and mic presence was better on this track than a lot of Recovery. I like the way everything is put together too with the verses and hook.

uh, a few things sorta sidetracked his vocal range lessons between TIC and almost famous....like say, his childhood best friend got murdered, he got divorced (again) and he almost died in his bathroom. just fyi

I really enjoy this song, I feel the lyricism and voice work really well for the type of track this is. Theres no lines in particular that stick out to me as bad really. And I feel the way he yells on this song works really well here, but i can understand why people might not like it for some of the other songs on recovery,. #2/3 on recovery for me, with Going Through Changes being #1. Though as a side note he does not yell as much as people like to say he does on Recovery, hes more just loud in general, but i always thought that was largely in part because of the mixing/mastering.

All around great track for me, I wouldnt say its one of his best since his comeback, though I think its really good. Theres too many songs on MMLP2 that are superior atleast to me.

I'm finally not alone with that. Cool concept...just can't get into it. I'd probably feel better about it with a less overly produced beat and different chorus.
