I had a listen to What You See Is What You Get...the writing is pretty fucking good on it. It has concept songs, story songs, good rhyming, it's funny in parts...I guess it was his attempt at the Australian Slim Shady LP. I always thought him and Pez worked well together. "Old School" is a dud, though...flow is terrible.

The only problem with it (not really a problem) was it wasn't catchy, and he realized how to make catchy music by the time Falling and Flying came out. WYSIWYG has way more personality, but Falling and Flying has far less forced multis and forced writing in general. It's the better album.

His latest album (though admittedly I haven't heard much of it) just doesn't hang with those two. You can tell he rushed some of the writing. He's justifying the choppy flow by saying he's "experimenting." He can still clearly rhyme and he's still clearly trying, but it's a level below.

He can still write like Mamma Mia, by the way. He just doesn't spend as much time on his lyrics as he used to when he was jobless in his parents' house. Now he actually has a busy life.

That and Purple Waterfall = 360's flow becoming boring as fuck. He's just mirroring the drums. He's become so focused on changing his flow that he's forgotten to say anything in his lyrics.

I don't know which rappers he's been listening to, but I don't like it. The experimental flow kind of works on Eddie Jones at times, but other than that, not at all.

By All Means: Man, I'm tired of this bullshit "female hook" formula he uses.

It's All About To End: What is with this hard-on for Daniel Johns? Three fucking songs with the guy on one album? I like how he changed his voice here...second verse sucks. He's become too lax when it comes to consonant sounds at the end of each multi...they often don't sound similar enough. He does it so he can write about one subject more freely, but it doesn't sound good. For example, rhyming "shades of skin" with "racist pigs."

Spiral Down: No rapping. Just singing...oh wait, he's rapping now. Just a bunch of abstract crap, though.

You and I: Another high-pitched pussy singing the chorus. Is that 360? What the fuck is 360 rapping about? Absolutely nothing.

Man on the Moon: 360's renounced his use of the word "faggot." What a pussy. Decent writing, though. At least he's actually rapping about things on this song.

Price of Fame: Gossling officially needs to go away.

Early Warning: Now this is a cool song. That's the type of great writing/storytelling 360 is capable of.

Break Rules: This flow/monotone delivery puts me to sleep.

Tell These Bitches: I can't stand this style of rap.

When I heard "Killer" on Falling and Flying, I thought that was just a shitty experimental route he took...but he actually went ahead and did that shitty electronic style for most of this album.

Album is pretty bad for the most part. It goes from "Racism is bad! Religion is bad! Faggot is bad!" sycophantic, leftist crap, to experimental, electronic garbage with overly poppy choruses. It's like he took everything I hated about Falling and Flying and magnified it.

He's still the best in Australia, though. Allday can eat a dick...most annoying sing-songy delivery ever.

The problem with that line, though, is Hewitt was nothing if not a competitor. Federer kicked his ass, but you have to respect how hard Hewitt fights. He's been a shell of his former self for 8 years or so now, dropping way out of contention and down in the rankings, yet he continues to play for the enjoyment.
