Ok I see. I wasn't sure because at that line I never knew which year he was referring to... Like I know Jay-Z refers to 1996 as his "start" because that's when he released his 1st album Reasonable Doubt. I didn't know Em doesn't count Infinite as his start. It makes sense though that he counts The Slim Shady LP (1999) as his true start.

I haven't listened to Beautiful in ages. Maybe it's too long for its own good... Something about it is off putting even though I still like it. Something about it isn't right. Can't place my finger on it though.

actually i agree with McGooch, I love beautiful but i feel something is out of place or wrong with it on it's own, not the placing on the album or nothing, just the song itself has something, idk what it is though
