Revisiting Recovery puns: Best and Worst

Another thing that didn't bother me before TR was Underground's random shit. I always liked it for what it was and I was surprised to see that everyone hated it. The beat and hook are fucking 10/10 powerful and the verses just sound like a Westwood freestyle to me.

Exactly, the Underground verses aren't really anything bad, just random, but I enjoy them a lot.
I think Em did his thing there..



I've always thought Beautiful was top 5 on the album as well.

I really don't get the hate for it at ALL.

Underground is def top 5, not Beautiful though.... but it's hate is ridiculous. It's not a bad song at all.

I love when Em does random maniacal shit.

I don't think it would have been the flawless piece of material like most people make it seem, but I think it would have been better than Relapse and Recovery for sure.

Listening to Relapse is like watchin the illest horror movie ever. Music Box, Stay Wide Awake, Insane, Same Song & Dance, 3 AM, Buffalo Bill, Underground ... Creepy storytelling at its finest. I don't think I'll ever get bored of these tracks. The album as a whole is so damn consistent, cohesive. Which Recovery is NOT, though there's some dope songs aswell (Almost Famous, GTC ,CWB especially), a few are garbage tbh ... On the other hand, Dre did a fantastic job during the Relapse era. The chemistry he had with Em at that time was strong and imo it wouldn't have been that good without the doctor.

Relapse is like a good TV show, each track follows the previous one perfectly and shape a big story (okay maybe not Beautiful, a good song which is a little bit out of place imo) . Recovery is like watching an episode then skip to an episode from a totally different show. Production is so damn disjointed. I guess sometimes one (great) producer worth more than a thousand.
So yeah, Relapse is a 9/10 for me while Recovery is a 7.3333333333333333
