I know we all hear things differently, but based on the lyrics alone? I just dont understand. I could see why you wouldnt like it musically, but that doesnt make it bad.

I enjoyed Recovery for a short period of time and I still return to it now and again. Still Love MMLP2 tho.

Regardless of the title he's sharp as fuck on the album. He could have called it Not Without My Anus and it would still be sick. He's far from washed up. But I still can't tell if this thread is serious or not..

I don't know If I'd say washed up, but his routine has gotten stale through the years. Even when you look at MMLP2, their are some brilliant songs on there, but we've heard it all before. Just because you switch from cursing out your mom on COMC, to saying your sorry on Headlights, doesn't change the fact that both songs are about your mom. Bad Guy, as brilliant as it is, is still a sequel to an idea he came up with 15 years ago. Evil Twin is awesome but it's still just another "Split Personality" song........etc etc etc.

The irony in the whole situation is that his most creative song writing in the last few years came from Relapse, and he ruined it by using that unbearably obnoxious accent all throughout. If he would have just released those songs in his regular fucking voice he wouldn't have got half the bad reviews he got on it, because it was super creative in concept........ But I can't bring myself to play it because of the fucking voice :shakehead:
