Face tats can look intimidating and unprofessional so I think it's reasonable for a law firm to not want that creepy dude on the last page working their front desk. It depends on the job. If you're washing dishes it doesn't matter. But if your goal is to draw in clients by looking as friendly and approachable as possible, then write no face or neck tats in the contract.
Anything covered by a dress shirt should be fine in the corporate world. But face and neck tats are understandably unprofessional looking. In my opinion.
