Oh, you're from Russia, that explains a lot. You must not understand most things in life. Really unfortunate for you.

Not really, the point of my post is that the current members of Shady Records are not drawing any money and will never break out to the mainstream. Whether you like it or not, that's the goal of every label; to get the general population talking and listening to them everywhere. I realize Rome wasn't built over night, but it's pretty clear the current lineup for Shady Records is a bust--it's a train going nowhere.

They need to find and sign people that actually have a chance to make something out of themselves without having Eminem all over their CD. I'm not saying they need to only have Eminem on their roster, but they definitely need to find different people. Someone said it in a post before this one, they would all be better off on an independent label where they can release stuff whenever they want and have more say in just about everything. You need to try and make something out of yourself, and that's what all their rappers are trying to do, but it's the labels obligation to realize what is working and what's not--its not working.

Don't even start this whole shit about mine nationality. That don't make none sence, mr. Smart Ass. I could easilly say same shit about yours understandings of life.

Now about Shady Records. Yelawolf doesn't have potential? You're nuts? I really believe this guy can performing at stadiums like Eminem with the right promotion in the future. He's got a huge talent.

Yeah, maybe Slaughterhouse not on the same level as an artists, but as MC's - they all are brilliant, and I think they can make a really good songs, like Goodbye was, for example. Of course they ain't got blonde hair and blue eyes like Eminem lol, but they have straight skills and talent not less then Yelawolf.

Both of them can make good sales (i don't give a fuck about it still), not millions like Marshall, but just good. And that would be enough. Every rap label got them leaders, but it doesn't mean dat leaders don't need to support them artists. I think they just believe in them, and you only thinks about money and sales. That's not the whole point.

I know some of the geeks on here do, but I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, you're in the massive minority. I also understand that they need to try and get their names out there, but in reality there is little money to be made off them, and that's what matters at the end of it all.

This. Shady are a terrible label in truth, they're celebrating 15 years but they really only had success from 2001-2005. After that every album flopped in comparison, albums constantly get delayed and countless artists have left. I'm just excited to hear new Eminem and D12 music, SH and Yelawolf I couldn't give a fuck about as I'll never buy their albums anyway.

The Re-Up (2006) - Platinum
Curtis (2007) - Platinum
Relapse (2009) - 2x Platinum
Before I Self Destruct (2009) - Gold
Recovery (2010) - 4x Platinum
Hell: The Sequel (2011) - Gold
The Marshall Mathers LP 2 (2013) - 2x Platinum

So from 2006-2013 the label has had 4 albums out of 11 that failed to receive an RIAA Certification.... given how low record sales have been for the last few years, that's pretty damn good.

But they definitely are far from being the powerhouse label they were back when Eminem and 50 Cent were shattering records.

Em could release an album made up of him recording himself farting into a microphone and it'd go platinum, so Relapse, Recovery and MMLP2 can be taken off that list. Plus, he's an Aftermath artist first and foremast. Curtis and Before I Self Destruct is where 50 fell off big time, and why Interscope stopped giving a fuck about him. The Re-Up went platinum but bombed internationally (whereas every Em, 50 and D12 album up until then were huge hits around the world). Bad Meets Evil's EP was successful admittedly, but every project from Shady post Massacre (Cashis, Bobby Creek, Stat Quo, Obie's second album, Yelawolf and SH) have done very poorly. They'd be a better label if they went independent, but that'll never happen.

Because Tech owns Strange, releases music whenever he wants, tours non stop and thus sells a lot in merchandise. Yelawolf won't be making much money in his current deal with Shady, as Radioactive was 3 years ago, didn't sell, had no major hits and almost all the money goes to Interscope. He's as well leaving Shady and releasing music more frequently on his own, I don't like him personally but I do know he has a cult following (a small following but at least he has a fan base).

50 Cent did. It was a lot of years ago and things change, but I believe in best for Yela.

Don't know why some of you guys are mad about this. This right here is great news!! We will get a CD with some classic shit, and then a CD with new music. This is great promo for Yela and SH plus some new Em music. It's a DD album, so if it sells 500k, it will count as 1 mill and platinum albums.
Really looking forward to this. Em is showing that he cares about Yela and SH, so after this, they will get good promo and then release their albums
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

Oh well, at least we're getting new material & I'm glad they released the first single with just Em on it. I'm excited for new D-12 forget the rest, tbh.

Looking forward to hearing new music from Em, D-12 and Slaughterhouse, don't really care about Yelawolf. I'm a bit annoyed that 50 Cent and G-Unit won't be on the album, same with Obie Trice as well. At least Dr Dre should be involved.

Yeah I'm excited. He should have probably done this closer to when they were all signed but it's great news.

Definitely. All we got was 2.0 Boys. The "like-new label" wasn't pushed very well at all.

Can you seriously not work out the difference? He had two massive albums (following on from all the enormous hype over him), with multiple international hit singles, arena tours, featured and executive produced successful G-Unit, Lloyd Banks and Game albums released on his own label, a Reebok deal, clothing line, starred in movies and made more than $100m from the Coca Cola/Vitamin Water deal. That is how 50 Cent made his money. Yelawolf will never be a commercially successful artist. It's not a criticism because he's obviously done well to carve the niche he has, but it's a fact that he will never that many albums.

Yeah, Yela really doesn't have the commercial appeal, nor is the music industry in the same place as it was when 50 Cent was basically everywhere. He's carved a niche, tours and makes probably decent enough money, but I don't see him every blowing up to that level. I'm a pretty big Yelawolf fan too.

Fifteen (Intro)
Acid Rain (Eminem Yelawolf & Slaughterhouse)
Six Feet Deep (D-12)
Burning Down The House (Slaughterhouse)
50 Shades of Grey (Eminem, 50 Cent, Skylar Grey)
Road Trip (Eminem, Yelawolf & Skylar Grey)
Twisted Mind (Eminem & Yelawolf)
Country Jack (Yelawolf)
Freak Show (D12)
Dead Alright (Bad Meets Evil)

And one Kendrick and Dre featuring, and a Proof hommage. Can't help but tryin to guess a tracklist. It's usually far from the actual tracklist but it's fun. Keeps the hype up.
My Music Box, #1 Em song              <Insert Insult Here>            #Slumerican
