I am not here for downloading shitty quality from random sites. I know iTunes is safe, and it keeps track. I can buy a song tomorrow, delete it, and reload it 5 years from now.. buy tapping a button in the Music app.

They have the same apps when it comes to apps that are properly developed and meant for high end phones. Its easier to develop apps for larger screens that require a certain resolution

Google also has less restrictive app policies, Google Play has its own policies which aren’t nearly as strict as the iTunes store, but Google Play is not the only way to distribute an Android app (though by far the most broad-reaching). If Google Play rejects an app, I can still easily sideload it onto my device from another source, so in a way, there are absolutely no restrictions.

and you do not have so many different hardwares and brands like Android does. The iPhone operating system is also a lot easier to update and even older phones can still update to the new software and most iPhone users are up to date with the latest software.

Let me explain, Android is the OS that Google bought for pennies a few years ago. Google only has 1 phone which is the Nexus line, (Nexus One, Nexus S, Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, Nexus 5 and the rumored upcoming Nexus 6) All Nexus phones come unlocked, work on every single network/bands including AWS. The Nexus phones were and are the easiest phones to update, Nexus phones always were OTA updates where Apple released OTA updates a cpl years ago I think, you used to have to plug it into the computer etc with the iPhone so you can update it. Every single Nexus phones receives updates directly from Google as soon as Google has them available and are always up to date. Whatever you can do on iOS you could do it with Google's very first Android phone lol not to mention Nexus phones are all 1/2 of the price of an iPhone.

With Android being an open source platform and when it comes to the main manufactures who use the Android OS integrated into their own OS (HTC Sense, Touchwiz etc etc) such as Samsung, LG, Moto, HTC and Sony its a completely different ball game, Google has absolutely no control over their phones. They first have to blend in Android with their own OS (thats why all android devices when it comes to their OS look so different) and after thats ready they send it to the cell phone carrier and its up to the carrier to send out the updates to the users phones.

However the beauty of Android being open source all you have to do is root any phone running the Android OS and install any custom rom (Operating system) you like and you can find thousands.

and no I cant install iOS7 on my iPhone 3GS or even on the iPhone 4 it'll run like crap and you're missing features.

Root your phone, problem solved or get a Nexus device from Google. Google's Android has only one phone which is the Nexus line as explained earlier. As well its not a bad thing to give consumers choice when it comes to Android that's why its open source and you see the OS on almost every phone manufacturer. Android currenty has 84.7% market share in the entire world and they are still growing.

I knew some of the stuff already like the thing about Android having most of the market share globally for example. But yeah, it kinda comes down to personal preference/experience. I'm kinda fed up with both Apple and Samsung though.

I'm not a fan of Samsung either although I have the S4, I just hate touch wiz and the plastic design on the back of the phone and so much bloatware loaded on the phone. I'm getting the new nexus or the HTC one m8.

I'm an andriod guy. I got the s4. I love galaxy's screen resolution and innovation with things like heart monitor and glass ticker.

I also like the swappable battery and expandable memory. High enough ram for multi window features.

I don't mind touchwiz. Bloat wear doesn't matter when you can expand the storage. I like ir blasters so it can be your remote. Just more freedom

I have an upgrade end of this month. I'm debating going with the note edge. Or wait til the s6.

How many time do you keep the same phone?? I get tired after 1 year. That's why I don't like to spend lots of money on it. My term contract ends soon and I wanted to buy Xperia Z1 purple, that probably for many of you is shit. but I like it, but I already have an Xperia and my previous phone was Xperia as well....so maybe I'll go for another.
