When you think about it @ Dina Rae... Dido...
Em has always liked that spacey ass pop hook vibe @ Skylar, Rihanna, Sia etc. - makes these songs not seem so sell-outish when you realize he's actually gone for that vibe even way back when.

I think its the production in conjunction with these types of hooks that bothers people. I dont think the new songs are such a big deal to begin with though lol.

rg says (idk if you guys knew this, i didn't) all three verses of drug ballad were written in 20 minutes. hasn't em also said that about the way i am, that it was written in one afternoon or something? maybe em's 'problem' now is that he's overthinking everything
