good work for sure but it doesn't seem like the most efficient way of going about this. have you considered an html mouseover highlight setup? or if you're not that savy just multiple 2-color pictures, each one highlighting a different scheme within the song. just brainstorming

Great idea, yeah I could definitely write something like that up, thanks I'm still working on breaking down everything into bars. It takes a while because in the song he uses not only the storyline to decide where the next line starts, but also the beginnings and endings of rhymeschemes that I don't think anyone could fully comprehend after less that a year.

Most rappers separate bars one of three ways. Those are
1 To illustrate rhymes
2 To ride the beat
3 To literally tell the story

Em switches between all of these (and probably others) almost constantly, so here's the first verse of Legacy in syllables, split into rhymes, bars then the story.




The second and third verses are significantly more complex and will likely take longer to analyze in this manner.
