Overall track... not bad.

Em - dope. Not like my favourite performance of his ever or anything but the level of detail and originality in shit right now is crazy, it's so... there's so much to it. When I consider like 09 verses, which erbody knows I LOVED but like... the 09 features were like 'DOPE!' and I'd replay them but wasn't like so complex and dense I was just like wooooaaah wttff and, things he said still had a kind of 'limit' to the impact aka weren't actually that funny or brilliant was more about the delivery and style of writing, but was also easier to figure out. Than this.

A lot of people here seem to hate shit they have to figure out. I love that Em's new style is like a puzzle which you could dissect for weeks/months, that's what make shit long-lasting for me.

There's so much personal shit in here and the intensity and creativity in how he's re-inventing how to deliver rap right now is fucking nuts. Love it. I always wanted him to be this ambitious. Just OTT wow and no limit... the patterns, the little bursts of melody and cadence matching, the commentary... it's just dope.

Only complaint is his voice is a bit faint... kind of gets lost in the beat a bit whereas he used to dominate it. You can tell he's definitely trying to exist in those pockets more and more... kind of has a 'washed over' and long-term wow factor though as it sets-in and you keep re-listening, more than usual I think.

//

Sean was good but don't get the big woop about his verse tbh, just a good verse... I think people just love that kind of chill late 90s-early 00s kind of more chill introspective-cocky style and anybody who raps like it... being that not that many do now - people is just like OH SHIT, GREATEST VERSE EVER!.

Danny was dope. Weird and original sound. Royce was Royce... same old. Em was new and brilliant.

Is there any other Big Sean song where he's rapping like he does in this? I never really paid much attention to him tbh.

I never thought I'd say this......Big Sean probably sounded the best on this.

Royce was Royce.....Danny was fucking annoying, I'm sorry. That guy is so hit or miss for me.

Em.......slow it down. Perfect example of fast flow is pointless. Nowhere near as good as Rap God as a song or Ems rapping.

I'd give the song like 6/10 maybe. I think people are doing what they always do as fans, it's only natural. Overrate new Em work because it's new Em work. Most of MMLP2 still sounds dope to me after a year. This and Guts Over Fear....man I gotta say I'm not really too impressed. The 2nd verse on Guts Over Fear was MUCH better than this IMO.

Why the fuck can't Em rap in songs like he does on the cyphers??? Slow it the fuck down, not every song needs to be complex to the max, every fucking word has to rhyme, beat us over the fucking head with every syllable rhyming.

On this song and I hate Big Sean tbh.....

Sean
Royce
Em
Danny

In that order

wow.... ems flow is horrible. The rest of the song seems cool. Hope he doesnt sound like this on the whole album. He really needs to start to flow again and not just try to put as many syllables as he can in one line.

Is not a matter of being an irrational fan, or something like that, is a matter of tastes.

Personally (and many in this forum) I love the fast flow complex Eminem songs like this... the depth of the rhymes, the wordplay, the double and triple meanings, the fact that after listen a song for 20 times still can discovering details and reference...

I dont know, it is certainly not a flow you can listen at any time, but that's not what I look for when I listen to this Eminem, a Eminem that is the best technically and lyrically of his career.
