"Budden’s family is going through some tough times and its causing him to be stressed out. One of his uncles went missing and the other needs a kidney transplant. His aunt is fighting Multiple sclerosis and its not going well."
His grandfather also got his cancer moving to his heart.
Like he said in the Cypher, he is planning a funeral, "getting the hearse ready".
A lot of shit man, I don't blame him for not showing up to the Cypher, he did it well enough in the one from 2011, I'll let this one slide.

The cypher was meh IMO. Em run out of breath and when you listen just to an audio version - this shit is even worse. He got dope lines, but I found his delivery pretty boring at some moments.

Still annoyed D12 weren't in the Cypher. I know some people don't want to hear new music from D12 but they are still on the upcoming LP and still signed to Shady Records. Only one track on the LP as well which is disappointing.

I actually like Budden, but Trimss is dope with the Budden jokes lol

Edit: I'm not bashing people just simply for disliking it. It's these "trend" criticisms that come with every era/cycle of Eminem music, as it was broken down by cityfan. Instead of just saying they don't like it and moving along, people just rehash these little taglines like forced/corny/cringe/choppy/cramming...etc whether it applies to the thing in question or not. If you don't like it that's perfectly fine, just don't listen. It's when people insist on using these tired little ambiguous insults that it gets so irritating. Everyone wants to be the expert on how he should rap and they just suck the fun out of it for the rest of us by repeating whatever the popular critique is at the time.

Funny we actually felt the same way, just not about the same rapper. When Danny comes in it's definitely surprising, you might think the song turns into a comical one with a guy trying to rap in a goofy way. But on my first listen, I got used to it almost instantly as he spitted his verse, just like 1-Train, that's just his thing. Em's verse was harder for me to appreciate overall. You HAVE to like it, it's dope in every aspect, but maybe unconsciously I grew tired of this type of flow and would have liked a slower one better on this beat. It doesn't make sense though, hell I LOVE Twerk Dat Pop That. But I think I don't want this type of flow anymore (at least not so often). Even if I wanted to believe Em's DvE verse is so bad, I couldn't 'cause it's obviously not. I do love it, a part of my brain just keep telling me he could have done better. Never felt that about a verse before, especially an Em one. It's stupid in a way 'cause every verse ever could be "better". But this one could definitely be far, far worse, so i'm more than okay with it at the end of day. Love this track overall.

Regarding the edited part of your post, I think everybody have the right to share if they liked it or not, why, or what they specifically disliked about it, and because a lot of people say it sucks doesn't mean that one will repeat it just to follow the herd, maybe he could just feel it regardless of other similar opinions. Personnally, on my first listen my very first thought about Em's verse was that it doesn't sound smooth at all. It changed after a lot of listens, but I still wanted to share it here. I'm not responsible for the sheeps tryin to follow the "his verse sucks" movement, but I think some people here really had trouble tryin to figure why the verse bothered them exactly, including me, and it may explain why those irritating terms (choppy, cramming etc) were so misused lately.
I didn't mean to influence anybody's opinion at first or spoil the pleasure of people here finding no flaws to that verse. I wish I loved it instantly like I did for almost everything Em has dropped prior to this for the past 3 years, I wouldn't have had to rot my brain cells trying to figure why I couldn't fully enjoy such a great verse.

Maybe the beat Em raps on is just too good for any verse ever. :p

Thats specifically where I took issue with the criticism, because like you said just using those words to describe why you don't something isnt really a good explanation, the terms have been watered down to the point of just describing something you dont like. When its constantly repeated over and over by the same people it really sucks the fun out of it for the people that did enjoy it.

I firmly belive you should be able to air your criticism and express whether you did or didnt like something, people just need to be more tactful over the internet, even just generally speaking. It's cool your acknowledging all of this and making an attempt to understand why it was so frustrating for us that did like it to have people act like that. :y:

All you can do it handle it, worst thing you can do is panic
Use it to your advantage, avoid insanity manage
To conquer, every obstacle, make impossible possible
Even when winning illogical, losing is still far from optional.." -T.I.
