and sometimes artists/labels label the hook singer as a feature on the record

For example: If PK samples the AP hook (which Em done originally) they could put 'Ft. Eminem' because he's in the original sample

They might've put all of the good lyricism in the XV songs and maybe that's why the Cypher verses are a bit less lyrical

Definitely agree. Rapping in a cypher is basically bragging about yourself in any way you want to. That's why it's called a "free" style. Just rap about whatever you fucking want.
