Em needs to understand that in most cases.....less is more.

Just because a rhyme is complex with a million words and has varying schemes within the verses doesnt make it better. Quite the opposite.

well in some cases it does sound better look at rg, groundhog day, vegas and such they sound so dope
(ofc his old stuff is better cause its more relaxed, remember-able and story telling
but these are close to some old stuff and yet they are complex)
but he overdid it with right for me, that was just stuffed with differences

Shady XV sounds NOTHING........NOTHING like Groundhig Day and such.

Theres a difference between being complex and having dope rhymes that are structured well to accompany a beat....and what we got on XV. Just saying....

In other news....thank god for Cadillactica and Cilvia Demo this year.

Well...Rap God?!I didnt get shit from it the first time,now I know every line.I like that,it's awesome,it's good for your brain,guys,work with it,it's rapping,it's awesome

i understood rap god tho, and the schemes were better and less forced on it, i like this new thing but it's all over the place most of the time.
it's not about knowing every line as time passes because you shouldn't have to search up lyrics to understand it, even without lyrics on rap god i would've probably learned it

maybe you should listen to like 2 chainz or something, his lyrics are easier to understand and he raps slow.

I agree with 4 corners about his flow.. except that HTS is a horrible EP. Vegas shits all over those songs. Take from me is the only song I enjoy and even that has a very shitty line.

I liked fast line at first, but it got old quick. The rest (except for take from me and maybe Reunion) I never listen to again. Agree about the other things you said completely.

While I do really like Shady XV I for now have to agree that he could eaese up a bit on the rhyme structuring, still Shady XV is really awesome to me

I don't get the complaint that he's being too complex.. He does have his moments where slower could have worked better. But overall, I love that I've heard most of these songs like 10 times and still catch new shit, that is replay value. His wordplay is off the charts and that's where he's better than prime Em IMO. Prime Em made better overall tracks and more cohesive albums.. But he's on another level lyrically. The cxvpher alone was better than a lot of his prime stuff (talking lyrical/wordplay).

If he can take the skill he's working with right now, and make a cohesive album like others have said, there is literally no reason it can't be up in the conversation with MMLP/TES. Of course people will always complain and keep prime Em on a pedestal, but I love what he's doing right now. I really hope we get new solo album in 2015.

Another thing. Em, please produce more. You're also a ProducerGod.

This isn't a solo album, you know that right? He's using this as an opportunity to try out a new style and experiment instead of putting it on a real album.
